Expression of Interest: Design and delivery of CPD sessions

The ELT Council is launching this expression of interest intended to offer CPD sessions to ELT educators in the second quarter of 2023.

Trainers must be in possession of the following:

An international diploma at post-graduate level at National Qualifications Framework level 7 or a comparable or higher qualification in ELT from a recognised university or institution plus a minimum of 1,500 ELT contact hours spread over no less than twelve cumulative months; or

A first degree in English or in English as a main subject at National Qualifications Framework level 6 and an international certificate at National Qualifications Framework level 5, or a comparable or higher qualification in ELT from a recognised university or institution plus a minimum of 2,000 ELT contact hours spread over no less than twelve cumulative months.

Priority Areas:

  • Young learners’ language education;
  • New modes of professional development in ELT;
  • Assessment for learning;
  • Train the trainer courses;
  • ELT management and leadership;
  • Teachers’ digital literacy;
  • Using psychology in the ELT classroom;
  • The development of global skills.

This Expression of Interest is also open for individuals who are interested to deliver CPD sessions in relevant areas unrelated to ELT, such as:

  • Mental health
  • Wellbeing
  • Health and safety
  • Leadership and management  
  • Personal development

Trainers must be in possession of the following:

A first degree in the respective area at National Qualifications Framework level 6 or a comparable or higher qualification;

and

2 years of experience as a trainer.

Sessions will be held online via Zoom in 2023. Session proposals must be for a 4-hour CPD session.

Interested persons are encouraged to submit their application form (https://eltcouncil.gov.mt/cpd-info/) attaching CV course proposal, including one total fee (that includes preparation and delivery) by email on info.eltcouncil@gov.mt.

Applications are to be submitted by no later than Thursday, 9th March 2023.
