Expression of Interest: Monitoring Exercise 2020

The ELT Council notifies persons who are qualified and experienced in the ELT industry to submit their Expression of Interest in participating in a monitoring exercise of a number of licenced ELT schools and annexes in Malta and Gozo in summer 2020. This monitoring exercise is to be carried out in line with the Academic School Visits Policy.

Successful candidates will be expected to:

  1. visit schools and annexes between July and September 2020;
  2. observe and evaluate lessons from an academic perspective;
  3. submit all duly signed individual school/annexe reports to the ELT Council;
  4. and prepare an overall report which should include specific recommendations for all schools and annexes.

By the closing time and date of this Expression of Interest, applicants must possess:

  • a minimum of 5 years academic experience in the ELT sector;
  • an internationally-recognised Level 7 qualification in ELT (e.g. Master’s in TESOL/ELT/TEFL; Cambridge ESOL DELTA, or Trinity College Dip. TESOL);
  • previous experience as a classroom observer or teacher trainer or experience in quality assurance duties in educational environments;
  • excellent writing skills in the English language.

Selected candidates will not have been involved with any ELT School for the previous 6 months.

Interested persons are to submit an application by not later than noon (12.00 CET) of Wednesday, 15 January 2020, a CV pertinent to the role, and a 100-word paragraph stating why they consider themselves eligible to take on this assignment. Applications should be sent to:
